Recipe For Sirloin Steak Tips
Here is a simple and delicious recipe for sirloin steak. It requires around sirloin tip steak with all the excess fat trimmed. When this steak is finished, make sure you serve it with fresh orange wedges. You will definitely be the person of the moment after your guests finish eating the steak tips. |
To make the marinade, you will require the following ingredients:
1 1/3 cups of soy sauce
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
3 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoons of fresh ginger, minced
2 tablespoons of dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons of orange zest, grated
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 medium scallion, sliced thin
Mix the soy sauce, oils, garlic, ginger, sugar, zest, red pepper, and scallion to make the marinade. Combine the marinade and meat. Seal in a zip lock pressing out as much air as possible. Refrigerate for an hour, flipping bag after 30 minutes.
About halfway through marinating time, turn burners on grill to high, close lid, and heat grill until hot for about 15 minutes.
Remove steak tips from marinade and pat dry. Grill covered for about 4 minutes. Flip the steak and grill second side. Keep on grilling until the meat is slightly less done than what is desired, 4 to 5 minutes for medium-rare, and around 6 to 8 minutes for medium.
When done, put a foil loosely and allow the steak to sit for around 5 minutes. Then slice the steak very thinly, and serve immediately with orange wedges.
