As per the size of the family, beef is taken along with breadcrumbs and one egg. According to the taste, Worcestershire sauce, crushed red pepper and Tabasco sauce are added. These ingredients make the burger spicy and sweet.Butter, cheese, onions and peppers can also be added to have a different taste and flavor. Now, the process of preparation starts from spreading the beef to expand as much area as possible. Egg needs to be added with all the ingredients.
All the items are put over the expanded meat and the meat is folded with the corner portions. Meat is then pressed and churned using hands, and all the ingredients are mixed well together.
Until all the ingredients are mixed properly, the process should be continued. The mixture is flattened again.
The upper portion of the hamburger is covered with breadcrumbs and the mixture is churned in the same way again. The main focus should be to keep the mixture neither too dry nor too wet.
Now the meat mixture is given the shape of balls. All the balls should be of equal size. Size of the ball depends upon the quantity of mixture needed in one hamburger. Thus, it determines size of the hamburger as well.
The meat portion should be given a tight ball shape by cupping it in the palm. The mixture is then given a patty shape.
These patties can be grilled over a hot grill, and served with a toasted buns.
