The banana bread recipe needs the following ingredients:
3 to 4 ripe bananas
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup of sugar
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
A pinch of salt
Pre-heat the oven to around 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mash the bananas in a large bowl with the help of a wooden spoon. Add the sugar, beaten egg and vanilla to the mashed bananas. Now add the baking soda and salt and mix well. The flour should be added last and then mixed.
Take a 4 X 8 inch loaf pan, butter it and then add the above mixture to it. Place the loaf pan into the oven and let it bake for around an hour. Thereafter, remove the pan and allow it to cool. Once the loaf has cooled, you can easily remove it from the pan, slice it and serve it. Some people like to keep the bread overnight before serving it the next day. The choice is yours.
