Vitamins And Minerals For Kidney Health

Every person needs their daily supply of vitamins and minerals in order to be healthy. Without vitamins and minerals several body functions will not take place like it has to. Every single organ in the body needs its own vitamins and minerals to function efficiently. For example, the mineral iron plays a vital role in the body. It carries oxygen to various parts and also forms more blood cells. Without sufficient iron a person will consistently fall sick and also will be anemic.

There are many more minerals and vitamins that have vital functions in the body. Like Vitamin C which strengthens the immunity and calcium which is much required by the bones. For the absorption of calcium, we need Vitamin D.

Kidneys do the major job of excreting the excess minerals and vitamins in the body. The body is not capable of storing the vitamins and minerals so they have to be excreted on a daily basis. The kidney is the main organ which does that. However, when a person is consuming more than required quantities of vitamins and minerals, it means that they are harming their kidneys actually. The excess minerals like calcium and iron form kidney stone which are again harmful for the body. That is why it is all the more important to have a right balance of vitamins and minerals. The vitamins play a role by strengthening the kidneys and improving the digestion of minerals. There should always be a right balance so that even the kidneys can function efficiently.
