The body is dependant on various sources of nutrition to be healthy. The human body gets its nutrition and daily supply of vitamins and minerals from the food we eat. That is why it is recommended that we eat a balanced diet so that the body gets the complete circle of vitamins and minerals that it needs on a daily basis. There is no specific amount or a standard set of minerals that the body should consume on an everyday basis.

However, the minerals and vitamins should be in small and essential quantities. Over nutrition can also cause problems of various kinds to the body and one should be aware of such possibilities. For example, if you are already eating a healthy diet and then on top of that having multivitamins of various kinds, then it could lead to over nutrition. Being over health conscious is also not advised.

A healthy living a person should have a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables and meat. They should consume very less of saturated fat .like fired and oily foods which are not often healthy for the body. The body should get small dosage of calcium everyday and also iron.

Some of the minerals that the body needs everyday are calcium, iron, manganese, phosphate, molybdenum, selenium and a few more. These minerals will help the body in strengthening the immune system and also increasing the metabolism. Some of the important vitamins for the body are vitamins C, D, A, K and the B complex.
