There are several different kinds of minerals found in the natural environment, fruits, vegetables and meat. These minerals are essential for the body and they provide a lot of strength and vitality to the body. A deficiency of these minerals can cause severe health problems for us.

However, an excess of minerals can also cause several problems for the human body. The human body is not capable of storing these minerals in the body for usage so we have to consume it on an every day basis in order to be healthy. A healthy diet will consist of all the essential minerals for the body.

Without minerals the body cannot function properly. Minerals like iron for example increase the hemoglobin count in the blood. Strengthen the blood cells and also carry oxygen to various part of the body. They also play a role instrengthening the immune system. Minerals like zinc, copper, manganese, magnesium and many more play an important and functional role in the body. In addition, minerals play a vital role in the growth recovery and overall maintenance of the body. If we are malnutrition and when we fall sick or get hurt, the deficiency of the minerals will make the condition even worse. Some of the minerals that the body needs on a regular basis are, calcium, chloride, copper, fluoride, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphor, Zinc, potassium, selenium, iodine and sodium. Excess of these minerals could cause problems like kidney stones and that is why they should be had in very small quantities. The best sources of these minerals are fruits and vegetables.
