Abdominal cramps are most common symptom associated with nausea, vomiting and then subsequently diarrhea. Few people may also experience fever, headache, and loose stool. The stool, however, does not contain any mucus or blood. If prolonged, a person may get dehydrated. Typically the symptoms of salmonella bacteria are seen within 12 to 72 hours of its contamination. It usually goes within a week automatically but makes the person completely exhausted.
People blessed with powerful immune system may experience these symptoms to a mild extent and revert back to normal condition within a few weeks. But people with weak immune system the symptoms are firstly very prominent and secondly the time taken for cure is usually more. In few rare cases it might become serious if enters in the blood stream.
