Food Poisoning From Pizza
Food poisoning from pizza is known to have cropped up due to the incursion of E.coli via pepperoni toppings put on pizzas that are frozen. E.coli contamination can be transmitted through various factors such as through cow, stale beef at fast food centers or through certain leafy vegetables like spinach. Sometimes, unpasteurized fruit juices and milk can also facilitate growth of E.coli. |
No one has any evidence as to how E.coli got transmitted to the pepperoni toppings in frozen pizza but many believe that it could have happened due to the suspected contamination of meat that is used in he toppings.
A study carried out on people who were taking healthy diet and those of who were eating frozen pizza revealed a fact that pizza containing pepperoni toppings created by the famous General Mills company which has under it working two branded eating outlets Totino’s or Jeno’s were the most susceptible cause of food poisoning. Consumers are therefore advised not to eat frozen pizza with pepperoni toppings produced by brands Totino’s or Jeno’s.
