Cooking Time For Hamburgers

Cooking time for hamburger varies by thickness of the meat and not its weight. Also, it has to be cooked evenly by dividing the total time into half for each of the sides. Preheat frying pan to 350°F. For the hamburger to reach 160°F at it center, it would take 10 minutes for each side for a thickness of 1 inch. For 1/2 inch thick hamburger, it would take 3 minutes per side and for 3/4 inch it would take 6 minutes of cooking on each side.
