How Long To Cook Stewing Beef ?

Most people prefer fried and baked products. So be it fried meat or roasted meat it does risk your health over a long period of time. However, you have the option to switch to some easy and healthy options provided your hunger levels are controlled. These easier options might however not be so delicious. The main reason for this is oil content would be less. But we would recommend ways through which you can cook the beef in a nutritional way.

Stews are to be served during chilling winter periods when you need something really hot. But the process is very slow and you need patience. Keep a track of minimum three good hours so that the meat gets very tender. Normally, fatty meat can make the best stew. They need to be chopped finely so that the juices need to come out while cooking.

Firstly, cover the meat completely with regular flour and add a pinch of salt and black pepper. The next process is caramelizing. You can take help of an oily skillet and heat the meat on it. Next once it has turned brown shift it to a large pot. Fill it up with the beef stock and cover the lid. Start the boiling process which will take a lot of time. Next make sure you boil it at 200 degree F. If you are cooking it on a burner, then cook it on a slow simmer. Once done, check if the meat melts on your mouth. Now you can add few other veggies like carrots, potatoes, onions, turnips and French beans. Cook this for another ten minutes till the time the stew might thicken like a sauce and can be really delicious. Lastly before serving sprinkle some herbs, spices and wine and gulp the way out.
