The best way to cook a delicious duck dish is by roasting it. Here is a simple yet delicious recipe for roasting crispy duck. This recipe is considered to be one of the best ones.

Delicious Crispy Duck Recipe:

In order to cook this mouth watering and tasty dish, you need the following ingredients:

Duck weighing 5 pounds – 1
Rice wine vinegar – 2 ounces
Honey - 1/4 cup
Grated ginger - 1 tablespoon
Miso - 1 tablespoon
Small onion – 1 (quartered)
Pepper and salt to taste

After preheating the oven to 425 degrees F, rub the meat with salt and sprinkle some pepper on the skin. Then, place the duck on a roasting pan along with a rack for about 15 minutes. Depending on the depth of the pan and the rack, the fat may get drained out while roasting. Collect this fat if it overflows every half and hour once you start roasting the duck.

In order to make the skin crisp quickly, turn down the temperature of the oven to 350 degrees. Take a sauce pan and prepare the glaze now by combining honey, rice wine vinegar, miso and ginger and whisk it until it starts boiling. Reduce the heat until turns thick.

After the duck is cooked for about 45 minutes, brush it with the freshly prepared glaze. Repeat the brushing of the glaze again and again every 10 minutes until the duck is completely cooked. Insert the meat thermometer right up to the center of the meat and check the temperature. The duck is done if the reading reaches 180 degrees.

You can enjoy this dish with miso soup, and serve it along with hoisin sauce and Chinese pancakes. You are sure to impress your guests and earn their appreciation.
