Marinating Pork Chops For Grilling

Marinades can be prepared in advance with ingredients which help in giving long shelf lives. It also helps in preparing delicious grilled pork chops in just about an hour’s notice. Preparing strong marinades is advantageous because it does not take much time to penetrate through the meat.

A simple marinade recipe is described here. Take about 6 cloves of garlic and combine it with 3 tablespoons of sugar in a food processor. You would get the garlic-sugar paste. If some chunks remain in the paste, it is fine. Add 1 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt and 1/2 teaspoon of fresh black pepper and mix this thoroughly in the food processor. The delicious marinade is done.

Now, place the pork pieces neatly in a glass dish and pour the marinade mixture over it. Cover the meat with a plastic wrap. Leave it for at least an hour in the refrigerator. Turn the meat over to the other side once during the marinating process so that the juice spreads over evenly on the meat.

While grilling the pork chops, it is important to remove the pork chops at least 20 minutes before in order to warm it up a little. Only then, the meat would cook evenly on the grill. Before placing the pork chops on the grill, shake off the extra marinade in order to remove excess sugar as otherwise, it would get charred easily while grilling. Also, keep turning the pork chops while grilling so that they do not get burnt due to excessive heat.
