Roast Pork Loin Cooking Time
When you roast a boneless pork loin, you would get moist and tender meat. Here loin refers to the type of cut used in the pork meet. To roast pork loin, preheat the oven to 350° F. Roast the meat in a shallow pan until it reaches an internal temperature of 160° F. |
This would give you medium roasted meat. If you wait to reach an internal temperature of 170° F, then it would be well done. The timings may vary depending on the thickness and also the length of the meat. You can measure the temperature using a meat thermometer. For a typical loin roast, it takes about 20 – 30 min of roasting per pound.
Continue cooking for about 50-80 minutes or until the meat registers 150 degrees on a meat thermometer. Some roasts are long and thin and others are short and fat, consequently the cooking times will vary depending on the shape of your roast. The meat thermometer is the best way to judge the right amount of cooking time.
You can also cook the boneless loin roast in an oven bag preheated to 325°F. The timing largely varies by the size of the meat and is typically about 75 – 90 minutes for a regular size of 10"x 16". After removing the roast from the oven, cover it with a tin foil and leave it for 15 minutes. You can slice it and then enjoy the beautiful golden color roasted pork loin with family and friends.
You can also grill them for 35 – 40 minutes at a temperature of 145°F. The recommended thickness of the meat for this timing is about 1.25 – 1.5 inch.
