Cooking Tips For Gas Grills

Gas grills are widely used in restaurants for cooking. The high heat of this grill helps in adding flavor and also texture to the food. It is important to use these grills very carefully as the food can char and get converted into charcoal in just a few seconds. Hence, food should never be left unattended while using gas grills. The grills also relieve the inconveniences of storing charcoal or cleaning the ashes. You can also regulate the cooking temperatures easily.

Some more materials can be added to the grill while cooking to add tasty flavor. Soak grape vine cuttings and add to the grill to give a fruity flavor to your food. Similarly, soak dry basil stems in water and using it in the grills to give a basil flavor. Soak the above mentioned items at least for an hour and drop them onto the stones present in your gas grill. If stones are not used, you can place the material in a foil packet and place them on the burners. You can also use wood chips of mesquite, hickory, alder wood and apple wood to add smoky flavor to the delicacies. It is also important to close the lid while cooking so that the smoke is held in.

Make sure that all the ingredients are prepared before you start the grilling process. It is unsafe to leave a hot grill unattended. While using raw meat or fish, make sure that it does not come in contact with other foods. Basting sauces can be used throughout cooking processes except in the case of sugar based preparations. If these preparations are applied too early, it can get burnt. Do not poke the meat while grilling as the juices may be lost. Use spatulas or tongs with a long handle while you turn the meat and not carving forks.
